Karnak Temple – Temple of Khons

Rameses III built the Temple of Khonsu at Karnak. It is dedicated to the moon god Khonsu and is located in the southwest corner of the precinct of Amun. It is mention in the Harris Papyrus provides that:
"I built a house for thy son, Khonsu in Thebes, of good sandstone, red grit stone, and black stone. I overlaid its doorposts and doors with gold and inlay figures of electrum like the horizon of Heaven"
The photograph below shows the pylon gateway. The pylon itself measures 34.5 meters in length, 7 meters wide and 18 meters high.
