The 2008 Egyptian Monuments Calendar contains twelve illustrations from Mark Millmore’s book Imaging Egypt.
These new reconstructions show how the Egyptian monuments might have appeared in ancient times and there are additional images which show how each temple appears today.
The software also comes with instructions to help you make high quality prints and how to bind your calendar.
September - The great colonnade at Luxor temple.
In ancient times the seven pairs of 52-foot 16m high open-flower
papyrus columns were enclosed. They supported huge architrave blocks
which held the roof blocks . The interior would have been bathed in
cool shadows and illuminated by shafts of light from the window slits.
January - The pylon at Luxor Temple

A reconstruction of the pylon at Luxor temple (Above) showing scenes from the Battle of Kadesh. Massive statues of Rameses II guard the gateway and are flanked by two eighty-foot (25m) obelisks. Today only one obelisk remains the other stands in Paris.
